Green Country Youth Basketball is where competitive play meets positive development.
Our league blends real game experience, strong officiating, and a supportive environment to help young athletes grow into smart, skilled players ready for high-school competition.
We keep it fun — but we also take the game seriously.
If your player wants to get better, compete hard, and learn the right way, this is the place.

- 6U Co-Ed (development-focused)
- 8U Girls • 8U Boys
- 10U Girls • 10U Boys
- 12U Girls • 12U Boys
Teams must have matching numbered jerseys or reversible uniforms.

💲 Registration Details
- $50 per player
- Team registration only
- Roster size: 7–10 players
- Deadline: May 31
- Register through TeamLinkt or Google form
Competitive, school, travel, tribal, and community teams welcome.
🏀 Game Format
- 4 quarters — 8 minutes each
- Running clock, stops last minute of each half
- 3-minute halftime
- 2 minutes between games
- 2 timeouts per half
- Overtime: 2 minutes (running until last 30 seconds)
Hoops & Ball Sizes
- 6U: 8ft hoop | 27.5 ball
- 8U–12U: 10ft hoop | 28.5 ball
📘 Division Highlights
6U Co-Ed (Learning League)
- Defense inside the 3pt line only
- No pressing
- Officials use teaching moments to build fundamentals
8U Boys & Girls
- Half-court defense
- Regular basketball inside 3pt line
- Light leniency outside the arc for development
10U & 12U Boys & Girls
- Full NFHS rules
- Pressing and trapping allowed (except during mercy rule)
- Competitive, structured play
🚦 Mercy Rule
- 20+ point lead → running clock
- 6U & 8U: defenders stay inside 3pt line
- 10U & 12U: defenders fall back to half court
- Points scored remain part of tiebreakers.
🏆 Championship Weekend
All teams compete in postseason bracket play on a weekend TBA.
Division Champions
- Will receive custom championship awards
Division Runners-Up
- Will receive custom runner-up awards
Awards are presented immediately after each division’s final game.

📣 Sportsmanship Standard
Our standard is clear:
Encourage, don’t discourage.
We expect:
- High effort
- Respect for officials
- Positive coaching
- Strong character
- Supportive spectators
Technical Fouls:
- 2 = ejection
- Ejection = suspended next game
- Two ejections in season = removal from league
Officials’ decisions are final.
